April 29, 2020 - Live Webinar--Economic Update

Economic Update: The Impact of the Virus versus the Response

Please join us for our live Webinar, "Economic Update: The Impact of the Virus versus the Response" on April 29th from 12:00-1:00pm presented by
Steve Scranton economist at Washington Trust.

This session will provide insight into how the economy (and possibly the world) changed when COVID-19 arrived. The discussion will provide insight into the difference between the economic impact due to the virus versus the responses to the virus. The goal of the session is to help attendees sift through the noise of the headlines to understand what is actually happening in the economy so that they have information that they can use to work through the crisis. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask Steve questions throughout the Webinar.

Topics that will be covered during the session include:

  • What do we know?
  • What is being done?
  • Perspectives to consider
  • Our role as business leaders
  • Economic outlook
  • What type of recovery will we see?

Steve is the Chief Investment Officer & Economist for Washington Trust Bank and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation with over 35 years of investment and economic experience.

He serves as the economist for Washington Trust Bank and participates in public speaking engagements, as well as authoring multiple communications, to keep clients and the public informed of economic and investment market conditions. Throughout the Pacific Northwest, Steve is a well-known speaker on the economic conditions and the world financial markets.
