Please join us for our Economic Update Educational Lunch Meeting on April 7th, presented by Steve Scranton economist at Washington Trust.

This session will provide an economic update for the national, regional and local economies. The discussion will provide insight into what the economic data is telling us versus what social media and news headlines may be saying. The goal of the session is to help attendees sift through the noise of headlines to understand what is actually happening in the economy so that they have useful information to use in their day to day business.

Steve is the Chief Investment Officer & Economist for Washington Trust Bank and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation with over 35 years of investment and economic experience.

As Washington Trust Bank’s Chief Investment Officer, Steve is responsible for management of the Portfolio Management Group and actively participates on committees within the bank to help design strategies and policies related to investments.

Steve serves as the economist for Washington Trust Bank and participates in public speaking engagements, as well as authoring multiple communications, to keep clients and the public informed of economic and investment market conditions. Throughout the Pacific Northwest, Steve is a well-known speaker on the economic conditions and the world financial markets.
