Puget Sound CFMA Bylaws Voting

Prior to the presentation, we will be conducting a vote amongst all present General members for approval to changes to the Puget Sound Chapter's bylaws.  If you wish to vote on these matters, you must be present at the meeting and vote in person.  The following three major proposed changes are as follows:

1. to give to our generous and supportive associate members the right to vote on matters concerning the chapter. The Board feels that the involvement and voice of the associate members is vital to the continuing success of Chapter.
2. to provide that the appointment of members to the Board of Directors (from general and associate membership) shall be done by the Board. This proposed change ensures the smooth running of the Board and brings the Bylaws into past practice and with how other non-profits conduct their business.
3. to provide that notice of meetings and voting may be done thru electronic transmission (a fancy term for email)

A letter from the Chapter President addressing these bylaw changes as well as additional information can be found at this link:  If you wish to obtain a copy of the chapter bylaws as amended and restated, please email Patti Recchi at
