CFMA's GAAP & Tax updated for 2016

One hour of CPE credit will be offered for this event

During the heavy December rains in Seattle, the Ruth's Chris downstairs wine room where CFMA typically holds our breakfast meetings incurred water damage and is currently unavailable.  As a result, our meeting on January 12 has moved next door to the Grand Hyatt hotel.  The meeting will be held in the Princessa Room. The room down the long hall right off the lobby area, and can be accessed through the main entrance to the Hyatt off Pine St. There will be people available to direct you to the room if needed.  You can also access the Hyatt through Ruth's Chris entrance as there is a connecting door to the Hyatt on your right after you enter Ruth's Chris.  There will be someone at Ruth's Chris to direct you as well.

The GAAP & Tax update will be presented by Pete Miller and Rick Cooley from Clark Nuber.

As a shareholder, Rick Cooley has a diverse clientele base. He specializes in providing federal and state tax consulting services to high net worth individuals as well as closely held businesses. Rick represents firms in the construction real estate and manufacturing industries. He also represents clients before the IRS regarding penalty abatement, delinquent return filings, offers-in-compromise, and installment agreement negotiations.

Pete Miller manages several audit engagements in various industries from manufacturing to technology and construction. Pete has specialty skills in the audits of employee benefit plans (i.e. 401k), internal control audits and reporting in the form of SSAE 16 reports (SOC-1 and SOC-2), as well as fraud investigation and prevention services. Pete is also responsible for new business and staff development. Project-management tools developed by Pete are still in use firm wide and he has persistently championed the use of cutting-edge technology to help Clark Nuber professionals uncover insights for clients.
